My blog is languishing.

In the interest of updating, I'll post.

STOP MOTION!

It is short and sweet. My friend Michael and I made it one afternoon several years ago. Probably around '06 or '07. I am currently in the process of adding some audio to it, and Michael wants to add logo's and titles, etc. I would like to do a complete remake of it, and make it better. But you all know that won't happen. It's easy to dream big and make promises in a blog.

*10 years later

"Oh, yeah. I forgot to EVER work on the video again. Oops!"

OK. Enjoy, or don't.

  1. Ha, I just still can't believe that thing even exists! Such a weird and wonderfull afternoon! You BETTER not forget to work on it again! Heh, jk... but seriously. ;)

Yep, its a classic, (although I throw that word around pretty carelessly) and I'm not sure how we'd remake it, but sounds cool, I like big dreams. We can at least do as you meantioned with the sound and titles and such.

I was wondering about the date as well, my guess was 07... but I really don't know either. Perhaps some of your files dates will give us a clue.

Anyway, maybe someday soon you'll be able to post a follow-up to this one.

  2. Follow-up indeed! I really am excited to try my hand at a better film than this one. I was thinking about doing another 2D film but after talking to you I think that it might be better to do it 3D. There are obstacles, of course, but I will do what I can to learn and grow.
As for the date, I believe 2007 is correct. This file says September 2. Don't know if that was the day we made it or the day I output a smaller file.

  3. Cool man, ...well, about a few different things. Cool about trying your hand at some more animating, and cool that its (a little past) the 3 year anniversary of that thing we made lol!

I don't know which files you still have, but I thought you output it like the same day we made it, or within a couple days at least.

BTW, as for the fabled follow-up, I might have some good writing time tomorrow and Friday. It might be too late for your software trial, but perhaps we'll at least get something started. (Or finished?) ;D

I just checked, Sept 2, '07 was a Sunday, so that makes sense, though we could have done it the day before too. :)
