False haiku

A few small raindrops
Tickling my chilly lobes
Remind me of you

----------

Tabasco on eggs
Easily makes breakfast time
Better than coffee

----------

Emotionless air
Breaks through your silencing stare
At last I can breathe

----------

Garfield has stripes
And plain Odie says 'YIPE'
When kicked to orbit

Decompression

It's Sabbath. Worries and woes can mostly be forgotten. Some now more remembered.
Work is ended for at least 24 hours. All the stress that comes with it is out of my mind and I'm so happy about that! Preparations for travel in a week are on pause. Bills, accounts, cancellations...whatev'. I ignore you all.
Now I remember my family. My mother struggling with the torture of cancer. Pain, sleepless nights never ending, boredom and watching life long skills and talents drip away like springtime icicles. The sadness is too much to consider. This life is known more for how it ends that how it is experienced. People take ill and die and we just sigh "that's life". But really, it isn't. That's death. Death. Life, absent.
Life that flows no longer in our veins, sinews, bones or brains. Life that was, and is, and will be. Life shared forever and ever to be shared. A current which, given liberty, sustains all in perpetuity.
Oh to free Life from the shackles of that Death which has stolen from us all our freedom to be. To not be is to be, no more. Anti-existence is that great gift of death which is no gift at all. It is not something that is given. To gift nothing is to not.
To gift life, this is the only gift, the greatest giving that is or was or could ever be.
I was reminded of a quote from The Kite Runner which seems to summarize this very well: "The only sin is to steal." This is the gift of death, to steal life. To lie.
Oh death, where is your sting...pitiful death. You can take nothing from none. Powerless, whimpering and wretched - you are the antithesis giving and taking alike.
Liar and thief, this is to strong. Simply liar. That which death dispenses is more empty than the vast vacuum of space. Therein lies no substance.
All that is, is filled by Life. When the world began, Life began it. Deception destroyed it. Death, working it's worst could only but reveal Life all the more. Death is deceit. Life is Truth.
The Truth shall set you free. 'And if the truth sets you free, you will be free indeed'.
When Life will come, Keys in hand, these shackles of deadly deceit will at last be shed and ne'er more will it ensnare the living in Life.
Ask for it and you'll have it. Seek it and you will find it. Knock and the door of Life will open.
You are invited in.
Come experience Life, in the present.
